Dr. Eck was a Captain in the Vietnam War and was a doctor in a MASH Unit. He had a private practice for almost 40 years and provided care to generations of families. He loved being a doctor and caring for people. He also loved fighting the good fight and was not afraid to share his opinions. He was an avid swimmer, runner and walker, and continued a fitness regime throughout his entire life. He always said, "keep moving”. In retirement he enjoyed being a “snowbird” in Sarasota and visits from his family.  He called this his “slice of heaven.”  He was philanthropic and supported Israel along with many Jewish charities.
